Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid

"Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid" is the third anime series in the "Full Metal Panic!" franchise and a direct sequel to the first season, produced by Kyoto Animation. The story follows Sousuke Sagara as he balances his missions with the covert military organization Mithril and his high school life after the events of the first season. This season adapts the fourth and fifth volumes of the light novel series, focusing on Sousuke's reassignment from protecting Kaname Chidori and the emergence of a terrorist organization called "Amalgam." Compared to the previous seasons, it has a more serious tone, shifting the focus from school life to military actions. Many characters who were omitted in the first season make their first appearance here. The anime aired in Japan from July to October 2005, consisting of 13 episodes and was rated R-15 due to graphic violence. It was licensed by Kadokawa Pictures USA, with Funimation handling sales and distribution, and ADV Films producing the dub.
