Directed by Hirotsugu Kawasaki and co-written with Yuka Miyata, the story takes place during a mission where Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are tasked with recovering a lost ferret. They are drawn into a conflict over a mysterious mineral called the Gelel Stone, which possesses great power and was once controlled by an ancient clan that was destroyed by war. The trio encounters a knight named Temujin and his master, Haido, who seeks to use the Gelel Stone to create a utopia. The film also features Gaara and Kankuro from the Sand Village, who fight alongside Naruto to stop the misuse of the Gelel Stone. Naruto and his allies must protect the stone and uncover the truth behind its power while facing enemies empowered by the Gelel Stone and the mystery of Temujin’s background.
