Burst Angel: Infinity

Burst Angel: Infinity is a 2007 original video animation (OVA) that serves as a side story to the 2004 television anime series Burst Angel. The OVA was produced by GONZO, directed by Koichi Ohata, written by Fumihiko Shimo, and the music was composed by Masara Nishida. Set in a near-future New York City, the OVA depicts the early lives of Meg and Jo as bounty hunter partners before they joined the Bai Lan organization. When Meg discovers that her friend Shirley was severely injured by a mecha controlled by a psychotic killer, she and Jo swear to avenge her. Despite interference from the corrupt police, the gun-toting duo successfully takes down the villain after a chase. The OVA also includes some battle scenes from the original series, as well as Japanese trailers for both the OVA and the series. Despite its short runtime of only 25 minutes, it provides rich content and details about the relationship between Jo and Meg and some background on their bounty hunter days. Also known as The Angel's Second Coming, Infinity should be considered an extra of the original series and is a must-watch for Burst Angel fans.
