ぼのぼの (1995)

Bonobono (1995) is a television anime series adapted from the yonkoma manga of the same name created by Mikio Igarashi. The anime aired on TV Tokyo from April 20, 1995, to March 28, 1996, with a total of 48 episodes, each lasting 15 minutes. This was the first TV anime adaptation of Bonobono, and it differed from the manga by leaning towards a more pure gag comedy style. Produced by Group TAC, the main character, Bonobono, was voiced by Kumiko Watanabe, with other major characters voiced by Konami Yoshida and Keiji Fujiwara. The anime was made according to the request of the original author, Mikio Igarashi, who wanted a lighter, more humorous anime style, reducing the deeper philosophical and didactic content of the original manga. The theme songs "Chikamichi Shitai" and "LOVE, TWO LOVE" were performed by Kyoko Suga, with music composed by Kazunori Miyake. The anime was popular with children and has been rebroadcast and released on DVD multiple times.
