Aria: The Natural

Aria the Natural is the second season of the anime series Aria, directed by Junichi Sato and aired on TV Tokyo from April 2, 2006, to September 24, 2006. Based on Kozue Amano's manga series, it continues the story of Akari Mizunashi as she continues her training as a gondolier apprentice in the city of Neo-Venezia on the planet Aqua. Along with her friends Aika and Alice from rival companies, Akari continues to train to become an Undine, encountering new people and experiencing mysterious adventures in the tranquil and scenic city of Neo-Venezia. The season consists of 26 episodes, focusing more on character development and story progression, showcasing the warm and vibrant atmosphere of Neo-Venezia. Aria the Natural maintains the soothing and heartwarming tone of its predecessor, and expands on the daily lives and interactions of the characters, presenting a more diverse and captivating world. The music of this season is also notable, adding to the narrative's emotional depth. In 2019, a Kickstarter campaign successfully funded an English dub for the series, and a Blu-ray edition was released in 2020.
