"Crayon Shin-chan: The Hidden Treasure of the Buri Buri Kingdom" is the second film in the Crayon Shin-chan anime series, released in 1994. The story follows the Nohara family as they unexpectedly win a trip to the Buri Buri Kingdom, only to get caught up in a conspiracy. They discover that Shin-chan is a doppelganger for Prince Sunnokeshi, and that the evil White Snake Gang plans to exploit this to seize the kingdom's treasure. During their journey, the Nohara family meets Ruru, a royal guard major, and embarks on a series of thrilling adventures with the White Snake Gang. The film combines comedy, action, and adventure, and introduced clay animation for the opening sequence, establishing a new style for the series. It also set the precedent for Crayon Shin-chan movies being released during Golden Week.
