キョロちゃん

Kyoro-chan (キョロちゃん) is a Japanese anime series based on the mascot of Morinaga's Chocoballs. Kyoro-chan is a small bird/parrot with a red head, an orange beak (originally yellow in the mascot design), and yellow and brown zig-zag patterns on its body. The anime premiered in 1999 and ran for 91 episodes, focusing on Kyoro-chan's adventures on Angel Island. Kyoro-chan was originally found as an egg by Dr. Matsugale on Angel Island and later befriended the other birds on the island. The series features various adventures, including sports, treasure hunts, and parties. The anime has also been broadcast in various countries and regions, including Hungary, Romania, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, and South Korea. Despite its limited DVD releases, the series has maintained a significant following both in and outside Japan. Kyoro-chan is not just an anime character but also the mascot for Morinaga's "ChocoBall" chocolate products, and its image appears on various merchandise.
