Time of Eve

Time of Eve (イヴの時間, Ivu no Jikan) is a six-episode ONA anime series created by Yasuhiro Yoshiura. Set in a near future where robots and androids are commonplace, the story follows Rikuo Sakisaka, who discovers unusual activity logs in his household android, Sammy. This leads him and his friend Masaki to a unique cafe called "Time of Eve". The cafe's rule is that no distinction should be made between humans and androids, with androids not wearing their status rings inside. The series explores the relationships between humans and androids, as well as androids' potential for independence and emotions. Through Rikuo and Masaki's experiences at the cafe, the series showcases different perspectives on androids and raises questions about robot ethics. Time of Eve is praised for its unique storytelling, thought-provoking themes, and beautiful visuals, and was later re-edited into a theatrical film.
