"Osu!! Karate Club" is a Japanese martial arts manga series written and illustrated by Koji Takahashi. It was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" from 1985 to 1996. Initially focusing on the daily life of first-year student Tadashi Matsushita in the karate club, the story later shifted to a battle-focused narrative centered around the karate club captain, Yoshishi Takagi. The series revolves around the themes of "effort, friendship, and victory," depicting Takagi's constant training to overcome formidable opponents, learning various martial arts such as Tai Chi and Shingokuken, and his battles against a diverse range of foes. The manga features a notable "power inflation" where defeated enemies often become allies, only to be easily defeated by even stronger opponents.
