"One Piece: Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Cherry Blossom" is the ninth animated theatrical film in the "One Piece" series, released in 2008. It is a re-telling of the Drum Island Arc from the original manga, but introduces new characters and plot elements such as Franky, Nico Robin, and the Thousand Sunny, who were not present in the original storyline. The film follows the Straw Hat crew as they arrive at Drum Island in search of a doctor to treat a sick Nami. There, they meet Dr. Kureha and the reindeer Chopper. Meanwhile, the former king Wapol and his brother Musshuru return, threatening the island's inhabitants. The crew must save Nami and stop the Wapol brothers. Chopper's past is detailed, showcasing his journey from an outcast reindeer to a doctor and eventually a member of the Straw Hat crew. Nominated for the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year in 2008, the film remains popular among "One Piece" fans. A special edition with new footage was released in 2014 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the anime.
