Sekirei

Sekirei (セキレイ, lit. Wagtail) is a Japanese manga series created by Sakurako Gokurakuin. Set in Tokyo in 2020, the story centers on Minato Sahashi, a young man who has failed his college entrance exams twice. His life changes when he meets a mysterious girl named Musubi, a 'Sekirei' who literally falls from the sky. Minato soon learns that Musubi is an extraterrestrial being with special powers and that he is her 'Ashikabi', a human with the unique ability to 'wing' a Sekirei through a kiss, unleashing their full potential. The series follows Minato as he becomes involved with several Sekirei and gets caught up in the 'Sekirei Plan', a survival battle organized by the enigmatic MBI Corporation. The manga was serialized in Young Gangan magazine from 2004 to 2018 and has been adapted into a two-season anime series and a video game. The story combines action, fantasy, romance, and harem elements, exploring the intricate relationships between Sekirei and their Ashikabi.
