"Ranma ½: Nightmare! Incense of Spring Sleep" is an OVA anime based on Rumiko Takahashi's manga "Ranma ½". Released in 2008, it is the final OVA in the series. Created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Shōnen Sunday magazine, it includes a special non-canon mini-episode featuring characters from Takahashi's other notable works, "Urusei Yatsura" and "InuYasha." The plot revolves around Happosai's creation of the "Incense of Spring Sleep," which induces a deep sleep and causes the dreamer to experience a reversed reality. As a result, Akane accidentally inhales the incense, leading her to switch between dream and reality, displaying uncharacteristic behavior. Ranma and other characters must find a way to wake her up and prevent her from becoming lost in her dreams. This OVA was produced in high definition and utilized digital ink and paint animation, differing from the style of previous anime in the series.
