"Live On Cardliver Kakeru" is a Japanese manga series written by Chouji Yoshikawa, which was later adapted into an anime that aired from October 5, 2008, to September 27, 2009. Both media are based on the short-lived trading card game "Live Battle Card: Live On". The story centers around Kakeru, a boy who loves the card game but always loses. His life changes when he saves a small dog-like creature being chased by strange people. This "dog" turns out to be a Create Monster and gives Kakeru a special "Live Change card", enabling him to protect his new friend and getting him involved in unexpected events. The anime was produced by TMS Entertainment, directed by Hatsuki Tsuji, with Tatsuhiko Urahata in charge of series composition, and Toshihiko Masuda as character designer. Despite the high quality of the anime production team, the series did not achieve significant success at the time due to its release coinciding with competing anime and card games.
