Needless

Needless (ニードレス, Nīdoresu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kami Imai, serialized in Ultra Jump magazine. The story is set in the year 2130, fifty years after World War III, which transformed Tokyo into a contaminated ruin known as the "Black Spot". Within the Black Spot, some individuals gained superpowers called "Fragments" due to the contamination, and they are called "Needless". The series follows Adam Blade, a Needless with incredible regeneration and strength, and other such individuals as they fight against the nefarious Simeon research group. The manga blends superpower battles with comedy, featuring numerous gags and some grotesque scenes. Besides the manga, a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by Madhouse aired in 2009, covering the first seven volumes of the manga. It has also spawned drama CDs and character songs.
