"OH!MY Konbu" is a Japanese manga series planned and supervised by Yasushi Akimoto, with art by Takahiro Kamiya. The story revolves around Konbu Nabeyaki, a fifth-grade elementary school student who is a culinary prodigy, creating "Little Gourmet" dishes using readily available snacks and fruits. The manga was serialized in Kodansha's "Comic Bonbon" and "Deluxe Bonbon" magazines from 1990 to 1994, and compiled into 12 tankobon volumes. The series initially started as a gag comedy but evolved into more serious storylines later. Konbu's cooking is not only delicious but also solves various problems, and his catchphrase "OH MY Konbu!" became iconic. An anime adaptation aired in 1991. In 2021, a sequel manga called "OH!MY Konbu Middle" was released, set 30 years after the original series, depicting Konbu's life as an adult.
