"Mitsudomoe" (translated as "Three-Way Struggle" or "Three-Leaf Clover") is a Japanese gag manga series created by Norio Sakurai. The story revolves around the daily lives of the Marui triplets – Mitsuba, Futaba, and Hitoha – who are in the sixth grade, and their new homeroom teacher, Satoshi Yabe. Known for its unique humor and exaggerated characters, the manga is filled with absurd situations and hilarious misunderstandings. The triplets have vastly different personalities: Mitsuba, the eldest, is a somewhat dark-hearted queen; Futaba, the middle child, is a lively and muscular girl with an obsession for breasts; and Hitoha, the youngest, is a gloomy and black-bellied loli. They, along with their eccentric classmates and Yabe-sensei, who is smitten with the school nurse, engage in a series of hilarious and heartwarming everyday comedies. The work also features fictional tokusatsu dramas such as "Honki Sentai Gachiranger," adding to the story's fun. "Mitsudomoe" was adapted into two seasons of television anime, which attracted a large fan base. The series is beloved by readers for its light-hearted and humorous style, as well as its vivid portrayal of elementary school life.
