Welcome to the Space Show

"Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW" (Japanese: 宇宙ショーへようこそ, Hepburn: Uchū Shō e Yōkoso) is a 2010 Japanese animated science fiction film produced by A-1 Pictures and distributed by Aniplex. Directed by Koji Masunari and written by Hideyuki Kurata, the film features the voices of Tomoyo Kurosawa, Honoka Ikezuki, Shōtarō Uzawa, Tamaki Matsumoto, Takuto Yoshinaga, and Keiji Fujiwara. The story follows five elementary school children who, while camping during summer break, rescue an injured alien dog. As a reward, they are taken on a trip to the moon. However, they become stranded in space and must find a way back to Earth before their parents realize they're missing. Known for its imaginative world-building and engaging plot, the film, while criticized for its length and some Miyazaki influences, is praised for its unique visuals and humor. The adventure revolves around the kids and the alien dog, Pochi Rickman, as they travel through space, confront the villain Neppo, and ultimately save the universe and return home safely.
