名探偵コナン Magic File 3 新一と蘭 麻雀牌と七夕の思い出

"Detective Conan Magic File 3: Shinichi and Ran, Memories of Mahjong Tiles and Tanabata" is an original anime DVD in the "Detective Conan" series, released on April 18, 2009. This work serves as a prequel to the theatrical film "Detective Conan: The Raven Chaser", depicting scenes of Conan, Kogoro Mouri, and other friends playing mahjong, as well as Ran's recollections of attending the Tanabata festival with Shinichi when they were children. In the story, Kogoro Mouri loses a mahjong game by mistaking a grape peel for a tile, leading to a series of amusing events. Subsequently, Ran remembers her childhood Tanabata and the things Shinichi did to help fulfill her wish. This work uses mahjong and Tanabata as clues to connect past and present stories, showcasing the deep bond between Shinichi and Ran while also foreshadowing the theatrical film "The Raven Chaser." In this OVA, aside from Conan, the other characters do not have major storylines, but instead, the focus is on the interactions between Shinichi and Ran at different points in time. The film also includes an introduction to mahjong rules, bringing a warm and nostalgic atmosphere to the viewers.
