Obocchama-kun, also known as Little Princeling, is a Japanese manga series created by Yoshinori Kobayashi, which was later adapted into a TV anime. The manga was serialized in Monthly Corocoro Comic from May 1986 to September 1994, totaling 24 volumes. The story revolves around the antics of Chame Obo, the mischievous and eccentric heir to the wealthy Obo family. It features exaggerated comedy, often with crude humor and Chame's unique 'Chama language.' The anime adaptation aired on TV Asahi from 1989 to 1992, spanning 164 episodes. Due to its bold and often vulgar content, it was frequently listed as a 'show not suitable for children' by parental groups. Despite this, it gained immense popularity and remains one of Kobayashi's most representative works. Recently, Obocchama-kun launched an official YouTube channel and is planning a new anime series for the Indian market.
