"Hutch the Honeybee: Melody of Courage" is a 2010 Japanese animated film, a remake of the classic television anime series "The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee." Produced by Kundo Koyama, the film tells the story of Hutch, a prince of the honeybee kingdom, who is separated from his mother and companions after a wasp attack. He embarks on a journey to find his mother, during which he befriends insects like Kune Kune the caterpillar, Min Min the cicada, and Arikon the ant. He accidentally wanders into Sepia Town, a place inhabited by humans, and meets Ami, a lonely girl who can communicate with insects. Drawn to the harmonica melody Ami plays, Hutch and his new friends go on an adventure filled with courage and friendship. The film retains the touching story of the original while introducing new characters and plots, such as Ami, the human girl who can talk to insects. It reinterprets Hutch’s story in a more modern and heartwarming way. With voice acting by Ayaka Saito, Ayaka Wilson, and others, the movie was released in Japan on July 31, 2010.
