悪魔島のプリンス 三つ目がとおる

"The Prince of Devil Island: Mitsume ga Tōru" is an animated special of the manga series "Mitsume ga Tōru" by Osamu Tezuka. It aired on Nippon TV's "24 Hour Television" program on August 25, 1985. Produced by Toei Animation, Tezuka himself contributed to the story synopsis. The story is based on the Easter Island arc of the original manga, while introducing original elements, such as the appearance of neo-Nazis. The protagonist, Hosuke Sharaku, is a normal middle schooler until the bandage on his forehead is removed, revealing his third eye, unleashing the superpowers and genius of the Three-Eyed Tribe. He attempts to rebuild the Three-Eyed Kingdom but is always stopped by his friend and love interest, Chiyoko Wato. This animated special is one of the animated adaptations of "Mitsume ga Tōru", distinct from the later 1990 TV anime series on TV Tokyo, which was an adaptation of the original manga. The special was long without a physical release until a DVD was released in 2011, with some of the contents edited.
