Black Butler II

Black Butler II (黒執事II), also known as Kuroshitsuji II, is the second season of the Black Butler anime series, produced by A-1 Pictures and aired from July 2010 to May 2011. This season is not a direct adaptation of the manga but features an original storyline, introducing new main characters: Earl Alois Trancy and his butler Claude Faustus. Set in late 19th-century England, the story takes place one year and three months after the conclusion of the first season. While previous main characters Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive also appear, the plot focuses on Alois and Claude. The season consists of 12 episodes, along with 6 OVAs. Deviating from the manga's storyline, Black Butler II presents a unique narrative within the Black Butler universe, exploring new themes and character dynamics. It retains the series' distinct gothic style and compelling storytelling, despite its divergence from the manga.
