"Highschool of the Dead: Drifters of the Dead" is an OVA (Original Video Animation) episode of the "Highschool of the Dead" series. It follows the main group of characters after they escape the zombie-infested mainland and arrive on a remote island. While scavenging for supplies, they discover a seaside shack and decide to stay the night. After collecting food, they begin to prepare dinner. As they wait by the campfire, a haze forms around them, causing nausea. They realize it’s caused by hydrangeas, a poisonous plant known to cause hallucinations, and attempt to escape the odor. This OVA is known for its more comedic and fanservice-oriented approach compared to the tense main series. It serves as a supplemental story, providing a brief respite from the apocalyptic chaos.
