"The Everyday Tales of a Cat God," also known as "Nekogami Yaoyorozu" (猫神やおよろず), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by FLIPFLOPs. The story centers on Mayu, a cat goddess who has been stripped of her powers and banished from the heavens for gambling, forcing her to live on Earth. She resides in an antique shop called Yaoyorozudou, run by a girl named Yuzu. The manga follows their daily lives as they meet various other gods and creatures from Japanese mythology, leading to comical and heartwarming adventures. The manga was serialized in Akita Shoten's "Champion Red Ichigo" magazine from July 2007 to October 2012, with a total of six tankōbon volumes. An anime television adaptation by AIC PLUS+ aired in Japan from July to September 2011, consisting of 12 episodes. The anime, also titled "The Everyday Tales of a Cat God," was licensed in North America by NIS America. It portrays the fun and chaotic interactions between Mayu, Yuzu, and the various gods they encounter.
