Little Battlers Experience (LBX), also known as Danball Senki (ダンボール戦機), is a series of action role-playing video games created by Level-5, which has expanded into anime, manga, and model kits. Set in the 2040s, the series revolves around small, customizable robots called LBXs that battle in dioramas made of fortified cardboard. LBXs are controlled using cellphone-like devices called CCMs. Players can customize their LBXs by changing the core skeleton, armor frames, and core box, enhancing their performance and appearance. The overarching plot involves the protagonists' battles against various antagonists and their efforts to uncover the mysteries behind the LBXs. The series is notable for its distinctive mecha designs, extensive customization options, and engaging storyline. The LBX franchise includes multiple game titles and three anime series, along with spin-offs such as 'Armored Girls'. Initially launched on the PSP platform in 2011, it later expanded to the 3DS, and has been distributed globally.
