Deadman Wonderland: The Red Knife Wielder

"Deadman Wonderland: The Red Knife Wielder" (Japanese: デッドマン・ワンダーランド 赤いナイフ使い) is an OVA (Original Video Animation) of the "Deadman Wonderland" series. It is often referred to as "Deadman Wonderland: Akai Naifu Tsukai". This OVA was bundled with the 11th volume of the manga and released on October 8, 2011. The story is set two years after the "Red Hole Incident" and eight years before the main series. It features police officer Senji Kiyomasa, who uses his Branch of Sin power to fight criminals. One day, he rescues a boy named Izuru who stole from a gang called "Goreless Peace". After returning Izuru to an orphanage, Senji encounters Keigo Ugachi, the leader of Goreless Peace, who also possesses a Branch of Sin. Ugachi tries to recruit Senji, but is refused. In retaliation, Ugachi burns down the orphanage, killing everyone, including Izuru and the caretaker. Enraged, Senji confronts Ugachi, gaining support from his police colleagues, but finds himself caught in Ugachi's spiderweb ability. Ultimately, when Ugachi injures Senji's superior, Senji unleashes his power to defeat Ugachi, but is stopped from delivering a fatal blow.
