Heaven's Memo Pad (神様のメモ帳, Kami-sama no Memo-chō), also known as God's Notebook, is a Japanese light novel series written by Hikaru Sugii and illustrated by Mel Kishida. ASCII Media Works published nine volumes under their Dengeki Bunko imprint between January 2007 and September 2014. A manga adaptation illustrated by Tiv was serialized in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Daioh magazine from August 2010 to September 2012. A 12-episode anime adaptation produced by J.C.STAFF aired in Japan between July and September 2011. The story revolves around Narumi Fujishima, a high school student who is initially an outcast at school. He gets drawn into his school's gardening committee and joins a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) amateur detective agency led by a reclusive genius hacker known as "Alice." Under Alice's guidance, Narumi and other NEET members solve various crimes using their limited resources and Alice's extraordinary intellect. They view this as “the only NEET thing to do.” The series explores social issues and is known for its unique characters and engaging plot.
