Steins;Gate: The Movie − Load Region of Déjà Vu is a 2013 Japanese animated science fiction film produced by White Fox. It is a sequel to the 2011 anime television series Steins;Gate and part of the Science Adventure franchise. The film is set one year after the events of the anime series, where Rintaro Okabe, after traveling through multiple timelines, has finally arrived in the "Steins Gate" world line. In this world line, he has successfully prevented the deaths of Mayuri Shiina and Kurisu Makise. However, Okabe starts to experience side effects from extensive time travel, leading to flashbacks of other world lines and eventually causing him to fade from reality. Kurisu, the only one who remembers him, must find a way to bring him back. Through time leaps and the help of Suzuha Amane from the future, Kurisu learns about Okabe's condition. To save Okabe, Kurisu needs to travel to the past and implant a crucial memory into a younger Okabe, allowing him to anchor himself in the "Steins Gate" world line. Ultimately, Kurisu succeeds in rescuing Okabe, and the movie concludes with a romantic interaction between the two.
