Daily Lives of High School Boys

Daily Lives of High School Boys (Japanese: 男子高校生の日常, Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijō) is a Japanese gag manga series written and illustrated by Yasunobu Yamauchi. It was serialized in Gangan Online from 2009 to 2012 and compiled into seven volumes. An anime adaptation produced by Sunrise aired in 2012, consisting of 12 episodes, and a live-action film was released in 2013. The story revolves around the daily lives of three high school boys – Tadakuni, Yoshitake, and Hidenori – at the all-boys Sanada North High School. The series follows their humorous interactions with classmates, student council members, and various girls. Known for its lighthearted and comedic style, it realistically depicts the daily lives of high school boys, focusing less on romance and more on their absurd behaviors and conversations. A parallel mini-series, “High School Girls Are Funky,” explores the lives of a group of high school girls, with some characters crossing over between the two. The series is beloved for its short, comedic skits that showcase the vibrant youth and whimsical imagination of high school boys.
