Danball Senki W (ダンボール戦機W) is the second installment in the Danball Senki game series, a sequel to the PSP game Danball Senki. It was released on October 18, 2012 for PlayStation Portable and PS VITA. The story takes place in 2051, one year after the final battle against the Innovators. Peace has returned thanks to the popularity of the miniature robot hobby, LBX. The protagonist, Ban Yamano, is now a world-renowned LBX champion. However, a new terrorist organization called "Detector" threatens world peace by brainwashing LBXs. Ban’s LBX Odin is destroyed, and his friends Ami and Kazuya mysteriously disappear. To combat this new threat, he obtains a new LBX, Elysion, and teams up with Hiro Oozora and Ran Hanasaki. As the battle against the Detector intensifies, a hidden evil is gradually revealed, and the potential of the new character, Hiro, is also gradually uncovered. The game adds new LBXs and systems based on its predecessor, continues the previous story, introduces new characters and villains, and offers players a richer gaming experience.
