Mangirl! (まんがーる!) is a Japanese four-panel comic strip manga series written and illustrated by Kagari Tamaoka. Originally titled Sōkan! Comic Earth Star Henshū-bu (創刊! コミック アース・スター編集部, Launch! Comic Earth Star Editors), it was serialized in Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star magazine from April 2011 to July 2013. The story revolves around a group of girls with no manga editing experience who strive to create the “number one manga magazine in Japan.” The series depicts their humorous daily lives and challenges within the manga editorial department. In 2013, it was adapted into a 13-episode TV anime series produced by Doga Kobo, with each episode being 5 minutes long. The anime aired in Japan from January to March 2013 and was simulcast on Crunchyroll. The opening theme song is “girl meets DEADLINE” performed by M@N☆GIRL!.
