Aura: Koga Maryuin`s Last War

"Aura: Koga Maryuin's Last War" is a Japanese light novel written by Romeo Tanaka and illustrated by Mebae, published by Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko in 2008. The story revolves around Ichiro Sato, a high school student who used to suffer from chuunibyou (middle school syndrome). As he tries to live a normal life, he encounters Ryoko Sato, a girl who claims to be an 'investigator from another world' and who shares similar delusions. Ryoko’s fantasy-filled behavior, marked by a blue cape, reminds Ichiro of his embarrassing past. Determined to help her return to reality, Ichiro accepts his own history and embarks on a 'final battle' with her. The work has been adapted into a manga and an anime film, which premiered in 2013, produced by AIC ASTA and directed by Seiji Kishi. The anime portrays the protagonist's journey of confronting his past scars and accepting himself. It's a youthful romantic comedy with fantasy elements.
