"Kamisama Kiss," known in Japanese as "Kamisama Hajimemashita" (神様はじめました), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Julietta Suzuki. It was serialized in Hakusensha's shōjo manga magazine, Hana to Yume, from February 2008 to May 2016, with 25 collected tankōbon volumes. The story revolves around Nanami Momozono, a high school girl who becomes a land god after being kicked out of her home due to her father's gambling debts. She then encounters Tomoe, a fox yokai who becomes her familiar, and together they navigate the world of gods, yokai, and budding romance. An anime adaptation produced by TMS Entertainment, directed by Akitaro Daichi, premiered in 2012, with a second season in 2015, along with various OVAs. The series is beloved for its charming characters, engaging storyline, and a blend of fantasy, romance, and comedy.
