"AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day The Movie" is a 2013 Japanese animated film, serving as a sequel to the 2011 television anime series "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day." Produced by A-1 Pictures, directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai, written by Mari Okada, and featuring character designs by Masayoshi Tanaka, the film is set a year after the TV series' conclusion. It follows the members of the "Super Peace Busters" as they write letters in memory of their deceased friend, Meiko "Menma" Honma, while also reflecting on past events and their bonds. The film retells the story of the anime from Menma's perspective, adding new epilogue scenes. It's not just a summary of the TV series, but also shows the growth and understanding the characters have gained since Menma's passing. The film achieved box office success in Japan and was well-received by audiences as a perfect continuation of the original anime.
