Teekyu

"Teekyu" (てーきゅう, Tēkyū) is a Japanese manga series written by Roots and illustrated by Piyo. It was serialized in Earth Star Entertainment's "Comic Earth Star" magazine from February 2012 to January 2018. The manga centers around the daily lives of four high school girls in a tennis club, however, the focus of the story is not on tennis, but rather on the absurd adventures of these eccentric and peculiar characters. The manga is known for its fast-paced, exaggerated humor, and unconventional storytelling. The manga was also adapted into a television anime series of the same name, which aired from 2012 to 2017, retaining the fast pace and absurd style of the original work. "Teekyu" has also spawned two spin-off manga series, "I am Takamiya Nasuno!" (Takamiya Nasuno Desu!) and "Usakame", both of which were also adapted into TV anime. Overall, "Teekyu" is a dynamic and light-hearted comedy, which, despite being called a tennis manga, focuses more on the everyday lives and bizarre stories of its characters.
