"Muromi-san" (Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san) is a Japanese manga series created by Keiji Najima. The story follows Takuro Mukojima, a high school student who enjoys fishing, as he accidentally catches a mermaid named Muromi. It details the comedic adventures that unfold between Muromi, Takuro, and Muromi's eccentric friends. Although Muromi appears to be a 16-year-old girl, she and her sisters are ancient legendary creatures and guardians of Earth. Despite Takuro’s indifference to Muromi's attention, he gets dragged into her escapades, encountering various legendary monsters. The manga began serialization in Kodansha's "Weekly Shōnen Magazine" in 2009 and was adapted into a 13-episode anime series by Tatsunoko Production in 2013, streamed on Crunchyroll. The series is known for its light-hearted humor and colorful characters.
