Rozen Maiden Zuruckspulen

Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen is the fourth anime series in the Rozen Maiden franchise, which aired in 2013. It does not follow the story of the previous three anime adaptations, but instead adapts the beginning of the second manga series which began in 2008. The plot revolves around two parallel versions of Jun Sakurada: one who chose “yes” and met the Rozen Maidens in the original timeline, and another who chose “no” and did not encounter them. In the “no” timeline, Jun is a college student working part-time at a bookstore. However, he unexpectedly receives a series of instruction books and materials for creating Rozen Maidens, which brings him into contact with their world. The anime depicts how both versions of Jun interact with the Rozen Maidens, and how they fight against the new antagonist, Kirakishou. It explores themes of choice and fate. The anime is produced by Studio Deen and features the original voice actors and music staff.
