鉄人28号ガオ!

"Tetsujin 28-go Gao!" is a television anime series that aired on Fuji TV from April 6, 2013, to March 26, 2016. It is a spin-off of Mitsuteru Yokoyama's original manga, "Tetsujin 28-go." Produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "Tetsujin 28-go" anime adaptation, it reinterprets the classic work with a cute, pop art style, focusing on Shotaro's daily life. Animation was handled by Eiken, the studio that produced the first "Tetsujin 28-go" anime. The series consists of 151 episodes, divided into two seasons. The first season mainly depicts Shotaro's battles against various enemies, while the second season introduces a recurring villain, Principal Franken. Despite its comedic tone, the anime retains action sequences featuring Tetsujin 28. The series has been released on DVD, and a manga adaptation was serialized in "Saikyo Jump," though it was never compiled into tankobon. Additionally, the anime is available on multiple streaming platforms. Notably, this series differs from previous educational works, shifting its focus towards entertainment.
