Leviathan: The Last Defense

Leviathan: The Last Defense (絶対防衛レヴィアタン, Zettai Bōei Reviatan) is a Japanese anime set in the fantasy world of Aquafall, a land filled with water, greenery, and inhabited by dragons and fairies. The story begins when meteorites bring forth evil creatures that threaten all life on the planet. To combat this threat, the fairy Syrup forms the Aquafall Defense Force, recruiting three girls from the dragon clans: Leviathan, Bahamut, and Jörmungandr. These girls work together to fight enemies and grow as individuals throughout the series. Initially a mobile game by GREE, the anime adaptation was produced by Gonzo and aired from April to July 2013, with a total of 13 episodes. The series is known for its cute character designs and light-hearted tone. However, it has been criticized for its weak plot and overuse of fanservice. Despite these drawbacks, it is generally considered an enjoyable fantasy adventure anime, suitable for audiences who enjoy cute characters and uncomplicated storylines.
