“Jibeta Gurashi Ahiru no Seikatsu” (It is living happily on ground every day.) is a Japanese four-panel webcomic created by Matsuda Yuka, which was later adapted into a television anime. The manga was first published on April 1, 2011, in e-books and the pixiv comic magazine “Kurofune ZERO.” It depicts the daily life of a duck named “Ahiru-kun” and his various bird friends in full-color four-panel format. The work portrays the interactions of these characters in a lighthearted, humorous, and somewhat surreal style. In July 2012, the work gained rapid popularity after being featured on the Fuji Television information program “Mezamashi TV,” reaching third place on the Amazon rankings. Subsequently, in November 2012, the author began serializing the second series, “Jibeta Gurashi Shinaga to Cochin,” featuring Cochin as the protagonist on PiXiV Comics, which was animated in 2013. In June 2014, the third series, “Jibeta Gurashi Nanka no Hina,” featuring Ahiru-kun, began serialization. The television anime aired from April 7, 2013, to March 30, 2014, on the NHK BS Premium children's program “Otosan to Issho.” Each episode was about 3 minutes long and used FLASH animation, with Tanaka Naoki as the narrator. The story revolves around the non-flying but positive Ahiru-kun and his interesting life with various birds on the island.
