The Fruit of Grisaia

"The Fruit of Grisaia" (Japanese: グリザイアの果実, Gurizaia no Kajitsu) is the first in a series of Japanese visual novels by Front Wing. Originally released for Windows in February 2011, it was later ported to the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita. The series also includes two sequel visual novels, "The Labyrinth of Grisaia" (February 2012) and "The Eden of Grisaia" (May 2013). These three games were licensed by Sekai Project and published worldwide in English in 2015. Additionally, there have been two manga adaptations and a 13-episode anime television series animated by 8-Bit, which aired in Japan between October and December 2014. Anime adaptations of the sequel games aired between April and June 2015. A 4th game, "The Fruit of Grisaia -SIDE EPISODE-", was released on the PS Vita in 2017. Beginning in 2017, a series of 9 visual novel games (1 thru 5, 5.5, & 6 thru 8) under the title "Grisaia: Phantom Trigger" were released through 2022 resulting in two anime films titled "Grisaia: Phantom Trigger the Animation" (2019) and "Grisaia: Phantom Trigger the Animation Stargazer" (2020). In March 2024, an anime TV series adaptation for the game series also titled "Grisaia: Phantom Trigger the Animation" was announced to be released sometime in 2024. The story revolves around Yūji Kazami, who transfers to Mihama Academy, a school with only five female students and prison-like features. Each student has their own unique "circumstances" for being there, and Yūji seeks to live a normal student life. Will he become the catalyst these girls need to take control of their lives, or will their pasts prove too difficult to overcome?
