Kill la Kill

Kill la Kill (Japanese: キルラキル, Kiru Ra Kiru) is an original Japanese anime television series created and produced by Trigger. The series follows Ryuko Matoi, a vagrant schoolgirl, as she seeks revenge for her father's murder. Her journey leads her to Honnouji Academy, a militaristic high school ruled by the iron-willed student council president, Satsuki Kiryuin, and her mother, Ragyo Kiryuin's fashion empire. Ryuko wields a scissor-shaped longsword that can cut through the special uniforms worn at the academy. She also discovers a sentient sailor uniform named Senketsu, which grants her superhuman powers. The series is known for its distinctive animation style, over-the-top action sequences, and blend of comedy, adventure, and science fiction. Ryuko, Satsuki, and others obtain martial arts superpowers from their clothes, which appear to have a will of their own. Kill la Kill aired in Japan from October 2013 to March 2014 and has been adapted into manga and video games.
