Tokyo ESP

Tokyo ESP (東京ESP) is a Japanese manga series created by Hajime Segawa. It began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's Shōnen Ace magazine on February 26, 2010, and concluded on July 26, 2016. The story revolves around Rinka Urushiba, a high school student who lives in poverty with her father, forcing her to work part-time as a waitress. Her life changes when she gains extrasensory perception (ESP) abilities. Rinka witnesses a flying penguin and some glowing fish swimming in the sky. She passes out when a fish goes through her and awakens with the power to phase through solid objects. She meets Kyotaro Azuma, a classmate with teleportation abilities, and they begin using their powers to fight crime. The series combines superpowers, action, and comedy, following Rinka and her friends as they combat those who misuse their abilities. The manga was also adapted into an anime television series, which aired from July to September 2014, produced by Xebec and licensed for dubbing by Funimation Entertainment.
