Love Stage!!

Love Stage!! is a Japanese yaoi manga series written by Eiki Eiki and illustrated by Taishi Zaō. It began serialization in the July 2010 issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Asuka Ciel magazine and concluded in 2016, with a total of 7 volumes. The story revolves around Izumi Sena, a college student and otaku from an entertainment family: his mother is an actress, his father is a singer, and his older brother is the lead vocalist of a popular band. However, Izumi has no interest in show business; he dreams of becoming a manga artist. Ten years prior, Izumi had appeared in a wedding magazine commercial with child actor Ryouma Ichijou. When they reunite, Izumi is shocked to discover that Ryouma has been in love with him ever since, still believing Izumi was a girl. Even after learning the truth, Ryouma’s feelings for Izumi remain unchanged. The manga is popular for its lighthearted humor and delicate portrayal of the complex emotions between the two main characters. Love Stage!! also received a 10-episode anime adaptation in the summer of 2014. Additionally, there is a spin-off novel series called Back Stage!!, which focuses on Izumi’s brother, Shougo Sena, and his manager, Rei Sagara. This series also has a manga adaptation. Live-action adaptations were released in Japan (2020) and Thailand (2021).
