Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade

Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade is a Japanese animated film and the second installment in the Little Witch Academia franchise, directed by Yoh Yoshinari and released in 2015. The story follows Akko, Lotte, and Sucy, students at Luna Nova Magical Academy, who are assigned to plan the annual Witch Parade as punishment for causing trouble. Traditionally, the parade commemorates the witch hunts of the Middle Ages and is full of humiliation and repression. Displeased with this, Akko decides to transform it into a celebration of magic's wonder and joy, proposing a plan called 'The Happy Time Project.' However, Akko's overambitious ideas and insensitivity cause conflict with Lotte and Sucy. They must also collaborate with three other troublemaking students: Amanda, a wannabe thief; Constanze, a magitek gadgeteer; and Jasminka, a big eater. Can they overcome their rifts and challenges to make the parade a success while stopping an unsealed giant from ruining everything? The film was successfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign and premiered at Anime Expo before its theatrical release.
