No Game No Life

"No Game No Life" (Japanese: ノーゲーム・ノーライフ, Nōgēmu Nōraifu) is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuu Kamiya. The story follows Sora and Shiro, two hikikomori step-siblings known in the online gaming world as "Blank," an undefeated gaming group. They view the real world as just another lousy game, but they are summoned by a boy calling himself "God" to a fantasy world called Disboard. In this world, all conflicts, including national borders and even people's lives, are decided through games. Determined to maintain their undefeated reputation, Sora and Shiro aim to conquer the sixteen races of Disboard and ultimately challenge the God of Games. The series is popular for its unique setting, strategic games, and engaging character development. It has been adapted into manga, anime, and film. The anime, produced by Madhouse, is praised for its visual quality and unique style, although it has received criticism for some of its more controversial elements. As of now, the series has 12 light novel volumes, with the latest released on February 25, 2023.
