Hanamonogatari: Suruga Devil

Hanamonogatari: Suruga Devil is the sixth part of the Monogatari series and the ninth novel, focusing on the story of Suruga Kanbaru. After graduating high school, Suruga finds herself investigating rumors about a "devil" said to be solving problems. In her investigation, she encounters Rouka Numachi, a former basketball rival, who admits to being the "devil" and finds pleasure in listening to others' misfortunes. However, Suruga discovers that Numachi is also collecting parts of a "devil," including Suruga's former Rainy Devil left arm. Ultimately, Suruga must confront Numachi and vie for ownership of all the "devil" parts. The story delves into Suruga's personal growth, her struggles with the past, and her complicated relationship with the world. Hanamonogatari was later adapted into a 5-episode TV anime special, which aired in 2014.
