Engaged to the Unidentified (Japanese: 未確認で進行形, Hepburn: Mikakunin de Shinkōkei, lit. "Unconfirmed & In-Progress") is a Japanese four-panel manga series by Cherry-Arai. It was serialized in Ichijinsha's Manga 4-Koma Palette magazine from April 2009 to February 2022, before transferring to Monthly Comic Rex where it concluded in March 2024. The story revolves around high school girl Kobeni Yonomori, who, on her 16th birthday, learns that she is engaged to a boy named Hakuya Mitsumine. Hakuya and his younger sister, Mashiro, move in with Kobeni, leading to a series of humorous and heartwarming events as they adjust to their new family dynamic. As Kobeni spends time with them, she discovers that there's more to Hakuya and Mashiro than meets the eye. The manga has been compiled into 16 tankōbon volumes. A 12-episode anime television series adaptation produced by Doga Kobo aired in Japan from January to March 2014. The opening theme, "Tomadoi→Recipe," and the ending theme, "Masshiro World," are both performed by the voice actress unit Mikakuning! Two OVA episodes were also released.
