Mushi-Shi The Next Passage, also known as Mushi-Shi Zoku Shou, is the second season of the anime series Mushi-Shi, adapted from Yuki Urushibara's manga of the same name. Set in a fictional time between the Edo and Meiji periods, the story portrays the mysterious creatures called "Mushi" and the people affected by them. The protagonist, Ginko, is a "Mushi Master" who travels the land, researching and resolving strange phenomena caused by Mushi. This season continues the style of the first season, acclaimed for its unique atmosphere, detailed visuals, and profound themes. The second season was broadcast in two parts, in Spring and Fall of 2014. It also includes a special episode, "The Shadow That Devours the Sun", and a theatrical film, "Bell Droplets", which complete the Mushi-Shi anime series. Produced by Artland and directed by Hiroshi Nagahama, the anime retains the original production team and voice cast, faithfully capturing the manga's world and narrative.
