Blade & Soul is a Wuxia-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by the Korean company NCSoft, specifically by their Team Bloodlust studio. It's known for its martial arts-inspired combat and open-world setting, where players embark on a quest for revenge as a martial artist in a fantasy world. The game features extensive character customization, allowing players to select from four distinct races and nine classes, and develop their characters through skill trees. The battle system is real-time and third-person, emphasizing combos and tactical maneuvers. Besides PvE, the game also provides PvP arenas. An anime adaptation of the game has also been produced. The game was initially released in South Korea in 2012, followed by other Asian markets and then in North America and Europe on January 19, 2016. There is also a mobile version, Blade & Soul Revolution. The game features a complex crafting and professions system, where players can choose up to two crafting and two gathering professions to create a variety of items.
